Waste Administrator

McQuillan Skip Hire Ltd is seeking to recruit a highly organised and experienced Waste Administrator.  Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the main purpose of the role is to provide excellent customer service for all enquiries and bookings, coordinate all legislative paperwork for completion, assist the Logistics role as required including health & safety supervision, ensuring legal compliance and performance reporting.

Responsibilities include:


  • Completion of all waste paperwork as required via IWS Software system
  • Data entry
  • Completion of all internal reporting mechanism to ensure invoicing requirements are met.
  • Supplier invoice management
  • Completion of company reports for meetings
  • Minute taking as required
  • General filing duties
  • Processing internal and external mail
  • Directing initial communication enquiries
  • Office Consumable Management
  • Administration support for Logistics role as required
  • As duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed and amended in consultation with the post holder
  • The post holder will carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the line manager/s
  • Adhere to and comply with McQuillan Companies Management Systems and Accreditations (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001);
  • Use a variety of software packages, including our tailored Integrated Waste Management System, MS Word, Excel, etc., to produce correspondence and maintain records, spreadsheets and databases.




Candidate will possess the following qualities:

-          Previous administration experience in a similar environment,

-          Strong computer skills – MS Word & Excel, Outlook;

-          Able to remain calm under pressure and remain professional at all times;

-          Highly organised and able to multi-task and demonstrate strong time-management skills;

-          Accurate with attention to detail;

-          Flexible approach to changing circumstances with a willingness to take on new tasks;

-          Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety management


Preferred qualities include:

-          Experience in Administration within the waste industry

-          Strong commercial understanding of the industry.


Due to the location of the Budore MRF full driving licence and own transport is essential.
